LUCKNOW: Veteran Mithali Raj was the first Indian cricket player and the second international on Friday to complete 10,000 runs in all formats.
The 38-year-old Mithali, who heads the Indian ODI team, is moving to the elite club with the Englishwoman Charlotte Edwards. Mithali achieved the feat with a limit ahead of Anne Bosch in the 28th over India’s innings during the third ODI against South Africa here.

But after Mithali had reached the milestone, he went to the next ball and shot a Bosch delivery directly to Mignon du Preez in Midwicket.
She made 36 runs with 50 balls and hit five limits in the process.
Mithali has accumulated 663 runs in 10 test matches with a top grade of 214 while she has 6938 and 2364 runs from 212 ODIs and 89 T20 Internationals, respectively.

Former Indian opener Wasim Jaffer also joined Tendulkar to wish Mithali her performance.
